WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE?

Sicily is absolutely beautiful in July but also HOT. July welcomes pleasant, and pretty consistent weather in Sicily and more hours of daylight, with average daily temperatures ranging from 75'℉ to 100℉ during the day, with cooler evenings of typically around 68℉. On July 7th 2024 the weather was sunny with a high of 79℉ and a low of 75℉

AM I ALLOWED TO BRING A PLUS ONE?

Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation. Thank you so much for understanding.

I'M HERE FOR THE FOOD, WHAT ARE WE HAVING?!?

Sicilian cuisine is a true reflection of the island’s rich history, cultural fusion, and its deep connection to the land and sea.

We will be having a variety of fresh seafood, pastas, meats and cheeses and of course some typical Sicilian small bites.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND?

If you are unable to attend the wedding RSVP information will be included in the formal invitations, please be so kind as to RSVP "NO" as soon as possible so that we can make adjustments accordingly.

WHAT CAN I WEAR TO THE WELCOME PARTY?

For our night before welcome party we're having a white party!!

Pack your favorite white outfits; ladies & gents alike.

Please dress in shades of white, ivory, cream or eggshell!

IS THERE A DRESS CODE FOR THE WEDDING?

The dress code for our wedding is *Beach Formal*

Please make our wedding your runway!! Go all out and have fun with your outfit colors, textures and patterns.

Ladies - A floor length gown or midi/maxi dress. Opt for bright summer colors. Please AVOID shades of black, white, ivory, cream, or off-white. If you want to up the elegance factor, consider sumptuous fabrics like lace and tulle, both of which are light, airy and breathable but still have an upscale vibe.

As for shoes, we recommend a block heel, sandals, ballerina flats, kitten heels or formal wedge sandals as the floor is cobblestone and uneven.

Gentlemen - As for men, wear either a suit or a long-sleeved shirt and tie with a jacket and slacks. Opt for solid colors, like beige, sage and light blue. Please note that the darker the color suit you wear the hotter you will feel! Additionally, be sure to select a look with a breathable fabric such as linen as you won't feel as hot in it. Dress shoes or loafers that complement the slacks are required, while t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops/sandals are not permitted.

WHAT COLOR SHOULD I WEAR?

We'd love to see our guests in BRIGHT COLORS!!

Bright, colorful summer tones such as pinks, blues, yellows, purples, oranges, and greens. Both prints and solids are welcome. Please avoid wearing dark colors like black, dark brown and navy (and the obvious white, cream, ivory & off-white!) Below is a mood board to look at for inspiration.

WHERE SHOULD WE STAY?

We have reserved exclusive housing at the Tonnara from July 6th-8th and invite any of our guests who are interested to stay onsite. Further details on reserving space onsite can be found in the accommodations page. For those arriving early or wanting to extend their stay, we will be providing local recommendations on both the "Travel" Page and the "Things to Do" Page.

CAN I EXTEND MY STAY AT THE TONNARA DI SCOPELLO?

Unfortunately the Tonnara is only able to offer accommodations for our guests July 6th-8th. If you are interested in staying on the property before or after the wedding you may reach out to the Tonnara directly to ask for availability. Please note these rooms sell out rather quickly so if you are interested it's best to book over a month in advance. For guests wishing to spend additional time in the surrounding area, we will be providing recommendations for other accommodation options in the surrounding areas on the "Travel" page. For guests wishing to travel the island and do some exploring please visit our "Things to Do" page for a list of some of our favorite places to see, stay and eat!

I PLAN TO EXPLORE THE AREA BEFORE/AFTER THE WEDDING. HOW DO I GET AROUND?

There is a lot to explore in Sicily, and because public transportation is limited, we would strongly recommend renting a car for the full Sicilian experience. Please note that there are no Ubers in the area.

Renting a car - When renting a car, make sure to reserve in advance, especially if you want an automatic transmission. Most booking platforms will default to a manual transmission, so ensure that you're selecting the correct option when booking.

*Note: Legally, an International Driver’s Permit is required to drive in Italy. AAA offers them via mail or at one of their offices. You may or may not be asked by car rental agencies but if you get pulled over, it most likely will be requested by officials.*
